Disguised as a Mayan ruin in the jungles of Chiapas, the Mexican School for Enriched Magical Studies is a sturdy moss-covered structure blanketed by lush greenery. The students are no strangers to muggle tourists ambling about, and will often pose as fellow tourists or locals and interact with them, making them one of the most outgoing, lively, and tolerant communities in the wizarding world. For festivals, students like to don vibrant headdresses, and the school becomes a kaleidoscope of colour as girls twirl around like tops, their skirts lifting up into the air, filling empty space with colour and painting the school with embellished splendour. The campus often reverberates with music from the school’s ghost mariachi band who plays cheerfully day and night; although it tends to get annoying at times, the constant activity makes the school feel like home.

during a quidditch game the Ravenclaw announcer narrates “and the seeker’s taking a dive, he’s turning down, can he-” before a muggleborn darts in and yells “TURN DOWN FOR WHAT” into the mic and every muggleborn in the entire arena loses their minds

"oh an excellent-" another muggleborn grabs the mic and yells "SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOT SHOT SHOTS! EVERYBODY!!" and there is no hope of recovering the crowd of dancing muggleborns after that

I think Black Widow needs the superhero movie that we’ve been lacking: The one that says sisters CAN do it for themselves, and maybe even do it better. If Marvel is going to court such amazing fanboy fare as Joss Whedon and James Gunn for the guys, why not get lady geek gurus like Marti Noxon, Diablo Cody or Felicia Day to pen this script? Heck, think bigger: Can you imagine Black Widow: A Kathryn Bigelow film? I can. It’s glorious.

Here’s the bottom line: Today, I went to the store, and I saw Scarlett Johansson on the cover of no less than four current magazines. If you think living in a society where this amazing actress is good enough to be a sex symbol, but not a strong, independent action star is okay, then perhaps you need to reassess what you get out of going to the movies. For her part, Johansson has joined the chorus of fans in declaring she thinks Black Widow deserves her own movie, and I’m hoping people are listening. This is your moment, Marvel. Take Black Widow’s lack of movie, and let that absence be avenged.

Cats Don’t Dance (1997)

An allegory for racial discrimination and lack of representation in media, Cats Don’t Dance is an underrated cartoon musical made by Warner Brothers. The story is about a young, poor, naive cat named Danny who moves to Hollywood to fulfill his dream of becoming a star, only to realize that animals aren’t given the same treatment as humans are, and his idol Darla Dimple isn’t what she seems. Filled with innocent humour, supreme colouring, and stunning musical numbers, Cats Don’t Dance unfortunately premiered at the same time as Hercules, forever making it an underappreciated movie.

Unfortunately, this is the fullscreen version. The widescreen version is out of print and hard to find.

Holy cow!! It’s the whole movie! Guys, watch it if you haven’t! Or bookmark it at least!
